During 21-25 June 2015, OSE successfully co-organised with the Guangdong Association of Environmental Protection Industry (GDAEPI) the visit of an environmental protection industry delegation from Guangdong Province, China to the UK. The visit was supported by UK Trade and Investment (UKTI), the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology (CEH), Scottish Development International (SDI), and the Knowledge Transfer Network. The Chinese delegation comprised fourteen top management personnel from GDAEPI, seven leading environmental protection industrial organisations and one research institution from Guangdong Province. During the 5-day visit, the delegation met with leading management personnel and experts from the following UK organisations to explore collaboration, primarily in the areas of wastewater treatment and catchment management:

22 June: at Imperial College, London with Bluewater Bio

23 June: at the Edinburgh Royal Society with Biomatrix Water Solutions Ltd, Dryden Aqua, Albagaia, the Centre of Expertise for Waters at the James Hutton Institute, and Caledonia Green Innovation

24 June: with CEH at its headquarters in Wallingford

25 June: with Thames Water's Innovation Centre on Sludge & Energy at its Wastewater Treatment Plant in Reading

OSE will collaborate closely with GDAEPI, UKTI, CEH, and SDI to carry out the follow-up work to ensure the initial interests for co-operation which were generated by this visit will lead to concrete collaborative projects.
